Roland Emmerich 2012 Movie Official Teaser Trailer

There is no denying that Director Roland Emmerich likes to deal with the Apocalypse. He's been even working on 2012, a new post-apocalyptic science fiction film that will dwarf the waves of the Day After Tomorrow!

The movie 2012 is starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson. It is scheduled to be released in Summer 2009.

Watch below the first official teaser trailer of 2012:

Plot:
"In 2012, the world is going to face a major disaster that's been forecast by the Mayans ages ago. The movie follows the desperate attempts at survival of Mankind."

Roland Emmerich is for sure fascinated by apocalyptic stories, so no wonder he's been studying the 2012 myth:

“…This whole movie I’m doing next was inspired by just the phenomenon of the internet when you type in Google, ‘2012′, you get 240 million hits. That’s a lot. And it’s just, so many people write about it, believe it, that our world comes to an end in 2012. I said wow. I kind of said before I will never do a disaster movie again. I said, for this idea I have to do it again.”

2012 is a tale of Judgment Day, one more... Strangely Judgment days always keep popping out through History. Anyway I won't dwell on the topic here.

If you're damned sure that the end of the world is on 2012 that there will be a major cataclysm fatal to Mankind then, I suggest you to transfer all your financial assets under my name for New year's Eve 2012: you wouldn't really lose anything by doing so, right? After all 2012, is the end of the world, isn't it? In case you'd think the end would later in the year, you can still postpone the transfer till D-Day.

Sadly (for your bank account) the world is probably not going to end. However it probably is going to change.... a lot. Hopefully we (humanity) will come back to more harmony with nature... beginning with our sense of time...

Well, Error, that (the fact of whether the world would truly come to an end)'s not for you (or any fallible member of the human species) to decide, now is it? ;)

Never saw his last film and will never see his films. I will give bad luck to any one who believes this story, the film is a waste of money & time.

New years would be a little late. December 21 - 23 is supposed to be the end. Or is it really the beginning? Maybe the smashing pumpkins had it right, The end is the beginning is the end. Or was it the beginning is the end is the beginning. Oh noes, it seems I've gone and soiled myself

Ronald Emmerich is the worst director of 21st century. He should pack his bag and go back to Germany. He will do anything to make this movie hit. He has done it before but the sad thing is he will never succeed again. When he made independence day people were dumb & he was little less than dumb but now its been more than 15years he is dumber. Now he plays fear card. He thinks he can earn money by creating pointless fears in everybody's mind. U r pathetic.
I don't know how come the studios are even producing his movie. Those money sucking studios should
have donated that money to charity instead of investing that money on the donkey aaaaaaaaaaronald Emmerich.

I will agree that "The Day After Tomorrow" was a dissapointment. However, I thought the visuals were great. I'm not sure I cannot agree with anyone that "Independance Day" was a bad film. Although aliens aren't my thing, I still thought it was well made. I do think 2012 will be different only because its about a somewhat credible prediction. Keep in mind, 99% of what you google about the Mayan's and other prophets are all bullshit. I watched a show called "Decoding the Past" on the History Channel. If you get a chance to watch it, its pretty convincing as to why we shouldn't dismiss it. However, I wouldn't go out there and say "Hey, the world is ending in 2012 because it probably wont. But I wouldnt say I can promise that.
